Our Mission and Outreach Projects in Monticello, IN

Our church engages in various mission and outreach projects in Monticello, IN. We totally operate some activities, and for some we participate with other churches or non-profit groups. These projects include:

Support for Organizations

Our Mission and Congregational Life team provides monetary support for a variety of organizations and projects throughout the year. The recipients change as needs are expressed. Some of the projects supported have included: 
  • White County Food Pantry
  • Soles for Souls
  • Pack Away Hunger
  • United Way and Others

Operation Backpack

Each year, on the last Sunday of July, we provide backpacks and school supplies to about 350 to 400 students who attend White County schools.

Vacation Bible School

Together with the Monticello United Methodist Church, we hold a five-day Vacation Bible School, which includes free meals for all families with children attending.

Soles for Souls

Each fall, we provide vouchers to help families in need with the cost of shoes.

Samaritan's Purse Christmas Shoe Boxes

Each year, members of our congregation fill shoeboxes with small toys, hygiene products, and candy. Samaritan's Purse ships these shoeboxes worldwide.

Deacon Baskets

Each November, our deacons fill baskets with food items and distribute them to veterans in our community to thank them for their service.
